The short version. dogshow.lol is run by Scheme Studio in the UK. It's a small entertainment site. By using it you agree to act in good faith, only upload photos of dogs you own, and not abuse other users. Paid purchases are described in section 5 and refundable under the conditions in section 6. Bones are not money. We can remove dogs and accounts that break the rules. The full terms are below.
These terms form a contract between you and Scheme Studio, the operator of dogshow.lol. Throughout this document, "we", "us", and "our" mean Scheme Studio. "You" means the person using the site. By visiting dogshow.lol, creating an account, watching the show, uploading a dog, or paying for any tier, you agree to these terms.
If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The Dog Show is a live, shared online experience in which dogs uploaded by users appear one at a time on a stage, while everyone watching reacts in chat and throws bones to extend their screen time. It is intended as entertainment.
It is not a competition, a betting product, a contest with cash prizes, a regulated dog show, or affiliated with any kennel club. Nothing on the site constitutes pet care, breeding, training, or veterinary advice.
Accounts are created by entering an email address. We email you a one-time magic-link to sign in; we never ask for a password. The link is valid for 60 minutes; once you click it, we issue a session token that lasts 30 days.
You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure. We treat any action taken by a session signed in with a valid token as taken by you.
One person, one account. One account, one dog uploaded at any time. If you want to enter a different dog, you'll need to ask us to remove the existing one (see section 9).
The site has the following paid tiers. Prices are in US dollars and charged via Stripe.

We may change prices, retire tiers, or introduce new ones. Existing purchases will not be retroactively re-priced.
Bones are an in-site currency that lets you give a reaction to a dog on stage. Each bone slightly extends that dog's time on stage. Bones have no monetary value, are not exchangeable for money or goods, cannot be transferred to another user, and expire when your account is closed or deleted. They are not a stored-value product, not e-money, and not regulated as a financial instrument.
If we close your account for breaching these terms, any remaining bones are forfeited and not refundable.
Bones are non-refundable once credited to your balance, because they are immediately usable. If a top-up payment succeeds but bones fail to credit due to a system error on our side, contact us within 14 days and we will either credit the bones or refund the payment in full.
These tiers buy a service that is performed when your dog appears on stage and gets a permanent certificate page. Because the service is performed, refunds work as follows:
The Premium tier's launch bonus to bones is non-refundable once credited (see 6.1).
If you are an EU or UK consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel a purchase within 14 days. By clicking through to checkout you are asking us to begin performance of the service immediately. You acknowledge that once your dog has appeared on stage your right to cancel is lost. This is the standard exception under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (regulation 36) and EU Consumer Rights Directive (Article 16(a)).
If you have a problem with a charge, please email us first. We will respond within five working days. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated.
By uploading a dog photo and associated information (name, breed, optional slot time), you grant Scheme Studio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, display, and distribute the photo and information on dogshow.lol, in marketing material for dogshow.lol, and on the third-party services we use to run the site (see Privacy Policy section 3). This licence is perpetual and irrevocable, except where required by law.
You keep all other rights to your photo. We do not claim ownership. You may ask us to remove your dog's public-facing certificate page and to stop displaying the photo on dogshow.lol; the licence above permits us to retain and continue to use copies for archival, backup, and marketing purposes after such a request.
Uploads pass through an automated dog-classification model before they appear on stage. If the model rejects your upload as "not a dog" we will not display it and will refund any payment associated with that upload (section 6.2). Sometimes the model is wrong. If it rejects a real dog, email us and we will review manually.
While using the site you must not:
Chat messages must follow basic decency: no slurs, no targeted harassment, no sexually explicit content.
We may, at our discretion, remove a dog, suspend an account, or refuse service, if we believe in good faith that:
If your dog is removed because it breached section 7, no refund is owed. If it is removed under the AI-classifier path, you are refunded under section 6.2.

We try hard to keep the site running and to keep your data safe. We don't promise the site will be available continuously, that the live show will always be running, that uploads will always succeed, or that the chat will always be free of inappropriate messages. To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
The dogshow.lol name, logo, design, code, written copy, and the "Yang Bagus" font integration are owned by Scheme Studio. You may not copy, modify, or republish material from the site except as expressly permitted (for example, sharing a link to a dog's certificate page).
Your dog photo remains yours, subject to the licence in section 7.2.
You can stop using the site at any time and email us to delete your account.
We can terminate or suspend your account at any time if you breach these terms or for any other reason we believe is in good faith. On termination, sections 5.2 (bones forfeiture), 6 (refunds), 7.2 (licence we hold during the licence period), 10, 11, 12, and 16 survive.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a notice on the site. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you don't, please stop using the site and email us to delete your account.
We are not liable for failure to perform if it's caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures of third-party services (Stripe, Vercel, PartyKit, Resend, Cloudflare, Microsoft, Google, Sentry, Faurya), internet outages, or acts of God.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we agree that any dispute that cannot be resolved by email will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer resident in another country you may have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts under your local consumer-protection law.
